Sofles

Sofles is an Australian graffiti artist whose style is immediately recognizable and incredibly respected. He's a busy man running workshops, tattoos as well as commissioned pieces. I love whenever graffiti artists are granted the due recognition for their skill and their character isn't tarnished with illegality and fear.

Hair @ Proenza Schouler SS 2011

My hair repertoire is pretty limited. I've only very recently started using a straightener and hair dryer...I always felt that obviously styled hair just wasn't my thing. For one it took time; time I would rather spend doing things infinitely more interesting to me. Lately, however, as I've developed my style and learnt to have more fun with it, I've realized that I should harbor such fear of styling. I'm now keen to see what I can do with my mass of hair. Proenza Schouler SS 2011 hits the nail on the head for me - it looks undone, casual, unpretentious but it's also interesting and imperfect. Just what I've been looking for! Not too sure how I can translate these pictures onto my head though...

Unexpected trip to Vancouver!!!

I am lucky enough to have been the nanny to the most amazing 8 year old, Grace, while I lived in Amsterdam. As luck would have it, she moved to Australia (she's American) with her mum shortly after I returned! Grace's mum has now asked whether I would like to take Grace to Canada in December, so she can visit family there! Having left all of my warm clothes in Amsterdam, I'm now on the hunt for some super warm clothes suitable for the Canadian winter! Here's my wish list so far...

J-Crew long meribel puffer

J-Crew cashmere popover

I have these shoes saved in my 'wish list' folder, but I didn't name the file correctly and I don't know who they are by or where I can get them!! Argh! Does anyone know??

MIA

I have been in the bowels of University Hell for the past month or so, and when combined with my job, my boyfriend and friends, meant I had no time to really spend on my blog. And although I whiled away many hours procrasta-baking and doing everything but study, actually working on my blog was an admittion that I wasn't actually doing my work.

SO I'm almost at the end, and the blog shall become revived, slowly but surely. During summer holiday's I plan to embark on some new adventures; namely my new Holga camera, some Buddhist mediation courses, a cooking course and I plan to make myself acquainted with the Asian grocers in Dara/Inala...walking into an Asian grocer makes my heart sing!
